There are a million reasons to stay inside in December. We live in Boston, so it’s cold. Or worse, snowing. It’s dark out…by 4 o’clock. You’re tired, you’re working, the kids have to be fed, watered, taken to this lesson, that doctor, that party, this appointment. And your husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/partner absolutely, positively needs you RIGHT NOW because you have to clean out the sock drawer/pantry/car/kitchen cabinet. Or the world will end. Immediately.
So, really, why leave the house? It’s probably better to bundle up, put on your Snuggie, hunker down, and wait until spring decides to show up. In June. Who needs friends? Who needs girl time? Who needs fancy shoes, chocolate, martinis, lipstick, and general fabulosity?

Love, Loss and What I Didn’t Wear is a “Girls’ Night Out” at its very best; a celebration of mothers, daughters, sisters and friends, coming together to share stories as we peek into each others closets (and maybe try on each others’ shoes!) You’ll indulge yourself with some chocolate, enjoy a fine martini, and try that shade of Trish lipstick you’ve always wanted, but just didn’t dare. You’ll laugh, smile and cry as Michelle Black, Kate Halloran, Victoria Leifer and Jane Matlaw take you on a sartorial journey through some of the most pivotal moments in their lives. Our fashionistas, Laure Garnick, Jill Roberts, Ellen Rovner, Renee Rudolph, Myra Snyder, Emma Snyder Samuels and Jamie Weintraub will share the ins and outs of some of the most glamorous closets in town – theirs!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Girls’ Night Out if you didn’t do a little shopping…and we certainly have provided quite the treats for a lucky few! Our Live Auction, emceed by the always fabulous Susan Wornick, will feature a stay at New York’s Plaza Hotel, a $1,500 Neiman Marcus package, and much more. Our Ruby Red Raffle features amazing prizes …it’s definitely time to start buying tickets!
