Public Health Protocols

One of Mayyim Hayyim’s core values is petichut – openness and inclusivity – and we strive to provide as much access and availability as possible. In order to balance that with the safety of our community, we share the following procedures, developed in partnership with infectious disease experts.

Anyone who does not feel well should stay home.

We ask that all visitors to Mayyim Hayyim follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention precautions for Covid-19 outlined here, including precautions for wearing a mask after ending isolation. KN-95 masks (or the equivalent) are available in our lobby. Masks are not otherwise required though your volunteer Mikveh Guide is happy to wear a mask upon request which you may arrange for in advance when scheduling your appointment or upon arrival.

Mayyim Hayyim utilizes MERV-13 filters, meeting the level recommended by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers).

After each visitor, Mikveh Guides thoroughly disinfect all surfaces using EPA-approved disinfectants. Additionally, Mayyim Hayyim conducts a deep clean and disinfection each weekday, testing water levels and adding chemicals as needed.

Our goal is to make every visit to Mayyim Hayyim as meaningful as possible, and we invite guests to let us know if there is anything we can do to support your experience: info@mayyimhayyim.org or 617-244-1836, ext. 216.
