Rising Tide Membership

Do you believe that mikveh should be inclusive, accessible, and meaningful to everyone in the Jewish community? You belong in this movement, and we hope you’ll join us as a member of the Rising Tide Network. We offer memberships for communities and for individuals. Please see below for information about our various membership categories, and sign up! If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Organizational Memberships

Organizational Membership benefits include: 

  • Exclusive professional development opportunities, including webinars and trainings (virtual and in-person) with leaders and visionaries in the field of open mikveh

    • the Rising Tide Resource Portal, an ever-growing database of 500+ exclusive resources including financial, educational, ritual, organizational, and other materials
    • a moderated members-only listserv with 160 participants
  • Visibility for your organization in the Rising Tide member directory, Mayyim Hayyim website, blog, social media, and Network-wide fundraising campaigns 
  • One-on-one consulting support

Become a member or renew

All membership benefits are available for up to five people (such as your mikveh’s staff members, volunteers, or board members) as part of an Established, Emerging or Aspiring Mikveh Membership

Organizational Membership Levels & Fees:

Established Mikveh: Your community is currently operating a mikveh
  • If your mikveh budget is at or over $50,000 – $450 annually 
  • If your mikveh budget is less than $50,000 – $340 annually 
  • Flowing Waters Sustaining Member – $600 annually
    • In addition to your membership, fuel the growth of the open mikveh movement. Your support will ripple out to make Rising Tide programs more impactful and accessible. Your organization will be featured as a Flowing Waters Sustaining Member on the Member Directory. 

Membership fees support the vital infrastructure and offerings of the Rising Tide Network. If cost is a major barrier to your organization’s membership, please email us at risingtide@mayyimhayyim.org to access a need-based sliding scale. 

Individual Memberships

Individual Membership benefits include: 

  • Ongoing learning opportunities (virtual sessions) to build skills and knowledge 
  • Access to the online Resource Portal (includes immersion ceremonies and other guiding resources) 
  • Access to a moderated members-only listserv
  • Discounted rates to our annual Rising Tide Gathering 
  • Discounted rates to Rising Tide’s Seven Steps Online Mikveh Guide Training Course

Individual Membership Levels:

Mikveh Guide: You are a future, current, or former Mikveh Guide, facilitating Jewish ritual water immersion for others

Mikveh Guides support people as they mark meaningful transitions in life, guiding them through the ritual of immersion and helping make mikveh accessible to Jews of all denominations, ages, races, gender identities, and abilities.

The Rising Tide Mikveh Guide Membership supports Mikveh Guides in their ongoing learning and skill development, and offers a community where members can ask questions, share resources, and gain support. 

  • Sliding scale: $54-$180 annually (Suggested amount: $100) 

Financial aid is available for individual memberships. If cost is a major barrier to your participation, please email us at risingtide@mayyimhayyim.org for access to a sliding scale beginning at $18.

  • Closure Notice

    Please be advised that Mayyim Hayyim will be closed starting July 25 through August 7 while we install critical AC units. Existing appointments will occur as scheduled.

    Thank you for your understanding. We will be doing this work to ensure guest comfort during Elul, the month leading up to Rosh Hashanah.
