calming water

We hope your immersion is a meaningful, healing, and spiritually renewing experience.

It is customary to give tzedakah (a charitable contribution) when visiting a mikveh and your contribution supports the work of Mayyim Hayyim in powerful ways.

Our suggested contribution amounts are presented below; if you feel moved to give more than these amounts to honor your experience, we invite you to do so. If these suggestion contributions are a challenge for you, we invite you to give what you are able to at this time. No guest will be turned away because they are unable to make a contribution.

We suggest three different donation levels at the supporter, sustainer, and champion level.

“Thank you Mayyim Hayyim for the opportunity to take a moment, breathe and reflect on the amazing blessings in my life. It was an experience that will stay with me forever.”
— from Guest Book

Every year, more than 900 people immerse at Mayyim Hayyim to mark transitions, celebrate milestones, and seek healing. (That’s 1,600+ immersions.) 2,500 adults and kids participate in our education programs to learn about mikveh, ritual innovation, and pluralism.

Your donation supports our efforts to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all Jews and those becoming Jewish, no matter what. Your contribution helps to:

  • Develop and facilitate education programs
  • Train and provide continuing education for Mikveh Guides
  • Develop new immersion ceremonies and curricula
  • Maintain the beauty and serenity of our building

“What a beautiful, nurturing space for my conversion mikveh.  Grateful that the community has access to these healing and transformational flowy waters.”
