Submissions and proposals

The gallery is curated by a group of expert volunteers, including artists, gallery owners, and patrons of the arts.

The Mayyim Hayyim Gallery welcomes submissions and proposals for art exhibitions.  We host three to four major shows each year.

Decisions about the content, selection, and display of all work shown at the Mayyim Hayyim gallery are made by volunteers with special expertise in the arts.  The Art Committee - curators, painters, and collectors - consider all submissions and work closely with Aliza Kline, Executive Director.

2009 - 2010 Art Committee:
Sara Bloom
Karen Frosting
Fran Putnoi
Stepheny Riemer
Rosalie Ripladi Shane
Carol Targum
Judi Rotenberg

This process ensures that we are fulfilling our goals and our mission, and that we are exhibiting art of the highest caliber.  It also ensures the feasibility and practicality of producing the show.

This group meets approximately four times a year to review submissions and proposals and make selections for upcoming exhibitions.  Please be aware that it may take several months to receive a final decision regarding your proposal.

Generally we work with local or regional artists who are responsible for their own installation and take down.
