Join Boston-area artist and photographer Leslie Starobin at her Mayyim Hayyim art gallery opening. Starobin's art seeks to straddle the boundaries between analog and digital, photography and painting, and past and present. Her work can be found in many major US collections, including New York's MOMA.
Leslie Starobin received her M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute, and her B.A. from Hampshire College.
Her work can be found in such collections as the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, New York's Jewish Museum, and Harvard University's Fogg Art Museum.
She is the 1995 recipient of the New England Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, as well as an NEA grant. She is the recipient of an artist grant from the Hadassah Brandeis Institute.
Her work is inspired by places steeped in family memory.
