Diving Into Mikveh

An Experiential Workshop for Jewish Men - an independent program led by Reb Zisha (Scott) Tepper

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Diving Into Mikveh introduces men to mikveh as a concept and a practice.

Diving Into Mikveh offers Jewish men a new way to look at life transitions, and foster more meaningful communication and relationships.

TIME: 1:30 - 3:30 pm, includes learning and immersion

Diving Into Mikveh
, a program just for men, invites participants to sing, laugh, meet the concept of mikveh, encounter text sources, experience ritual immersion, and discuss the renewed use of mikveh by men.

With the Shavu’ot festival approaching, this session will count the Omer, and reflect on the sefirot of the day and the impending Sinai experience. (Father’s Day is the following Sunday – another great men’s theme to contemplate.)

Participants will get into the water and support each other in blessings and intentions.

Mayyim Hayyim's immersion pools have been reserved for this men-only workshop.
Reb Zisha based Diving Into Mikveh on his own mikveh experiences, and on his background and experiences as a Mikveh Guide and Educator at Mayyim Hayyim, as an experienced instructional designer and trainer, and in Jewish men’s work.

Please note:

  • All Jewish men 18 years and older are welcome.
  • Workshop fee $49.00 (payable to workshop leader; includes immersion.)
  • Space is limited; pre-registration required.
